Friday 2 February, was the annual PTA family bring and braai. Young and older family members joined in for a fun evening with other families and a chance to get to know one another at an informal get together.
The PTA welcomed new parents to Broadhurst Primary School with it’s annual New Parents’ cocktail evening on Tuesday 23rd January 2018.
The Halloween Family braai was held on Friday 27th September. The children were keen to dress up and we had a couple of moms (and a teacher) who decided to dress up too. You all looked great.
MOVIE NIGHT: This Friday evening, 22 September will be Movie Night (6 – 8 pm). There will be popcorn, pizza, cold drinks and sweets for sale. Admission: P10 for children and P20 for adults. Hope to see you there. Please remember, children need to be accompanied by at least 1 adult.
On Sunday, 10th September, the PTA held their Golf Day at the Gaborone Golf Club. It was a very successful event, with a large number of golfers turning out for the event. The day started with coffee and delicious scones, while the golfers registered and did some warm ups. There were a number of refreshment stations around the course, some manned by sponsors. We would like to thank everyone involved in the day: the staff who came out to help with registration, the industrial staff, who helped with setting up and tidying up afterwards, the wonderful PTA members, Mrs Thuto, Mr Verily Tebele – our entertaining anouncer and of course all of the sponsors. Saturday the 22nd July, the PTA held a cycle ride. The children who came to ride, were very excited about riding in a large area and found a way to get round the thick sand, even if it meant pushing their bicycles….
The PTA had the annual Health and Wellness day today, 7 July. There was a competition for the children to design a t-shirt and the winner will have their design printed onto a t-shirt, which they will be given as their prize. T-shirts will also be sold to any interested children.
The day started off with the Foundation children singing a song about fruit salad, then was followed by various talks and some exercises on the netball field and dancing in the hall.
The PTA Family Fun Fair was held on Saturday 8th April. There were games, food and assorted stalls. By the smiles on faces, it is evident that fun was had by all.

Friday, 3rd February, the PTA held their annual family bring and braai. This year, they added a ‘fancy dress’ theme to the braai. Some children enjoyed the change and made an effort to dress up, while others preferred to come and play with their friends on the field.

The music played till late and fun was had by all. Thank you to all the parents who supported the event.
Broadhurst PTA welcomed new parents to the school by hosting their annual New Parents Cocktail evening. At first parents sat quietly, but after a short speech by Mrs Bogatsu, as well as some eats and drinks, they started to mingle and chat to one another, as well as the staff.
Friday 8th July was the PTA Wellness day. The P.E. Teachers took the children out onto the field to take part in a fun obstacle course, which was designed to test different physical skills appropriate to the age groups of the children.
