Saturday the 22nd July, the PTA held a cycle ride.  The children who came to ride, were very excited about riding in a large area and found a way to get round the thick sand, even if it meant pushing their bicycles….

The PTA had the annual Health and Wellness day today, 7 July.  There was a competition for the children to design a t-shirt and the winner will have their design printed onto a t-shirt, which they will be given as their prize.  T-shirts will also be sold to any interested children.

The day started off with the Foundation children singing a song about fruit salad, then was followed by various talks and some exercises on the netball field and dancing in the hall.

The PTA Family Fun Fair was held on Saturday 8th April.  There were games, food and assorted stalls.  By the smiles on faces, it is evident that fun was had by all.

UPCOMING EVENT:

family fun day

HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!

Friday, 3rd February, the PTA held their annual family bring and braai.  This year, they added a ‘fancy dress’ theme to the braai.  Some children enjoyed the change and made an effort to dress up, while others preferred to come and play with their friends on the field.

The friendly ‘welcoming committee’ at the gate:

Not even the gathering storm clouds over-head could dampen the spirits.

The music played till late and fun was had by all.  Thank you to all the parents who supported the event.

Broadhurst PTA welcomed new parents to the school by hosting their annual New Parents Cocktail evening.  At first parents sat quietly, but after a short speech by Mrs Bogatsu, as well as some eats and drinks, they started to mingle and chat to one another, as well as the staff.

Friday 8th July was the PTA Wellness day.  The P.E. Teachers took the children out onto the field to take part in a fun obstacle course, which was designed to test different physical skills appropriate to the age groups of the children.
